Chickweed

Found in the spring in gardens almost anywhere, chickweed is considered by many to be a common weed. Would you believe that this plant is packed with a wheelbarrow full of healing properties. Not surprising that we disregard what is right in front of our very noses :)

Chickweed is useful in weight reduction and helps respiratory problems. It is considered one of the best remedies for piles, tumours, and swollen testes. And the list goes on. Add it to salad, dry it and drink it as a tea, infuse it in oil or make a tincture.

Active Compounds: The active constituents are largely unknown. Chickweed contains relatively high amounts of vitamins and flavonoids, which may explain some of its effect.
